Well this is it, the last semester as an art student before I go off on my own. Right now I'm busier than I've ever been my whole life and it's great. I have 2 metal and jewelry classes and 3 time arts classes, which will amount to 3 major projects and probably a lot of smaller metal projects. I'm hoping to be able to have a DVD of my projects available at the end of the semester.

We have the date of the time arts senior show set too, that will be April 27, in the Jack Olson gallery/ room 300 of the art building here at NIU. Gallery doors open at 5 I believe and we'll show the reel later that night, maybe like 7 or so. More details to follow. Also the intermedia arts show will be later this semester too, date TBA. More details to follow for sure, so if you're in the DeKalb area or interested, make sure to pay attention for info.

People say the art program at NIU is great? lol well I guess so, it really depends on what you want to major in. I think the time arts department (my major) is pretty good, although they just got a new professor and lost an old one so I'm not sure how she is. One thing I know for sure though is that the art history department is pretty terrible. And if you have to take any art history course, and your prof turns out to be Loretta Swanson, switch sections! Almost every one of my art friends failed the first time around with her, and they're not screw offs either, they're studious serious art students.

Thanks, I'll have to keep that in mind! I'm thinking about going to NIU next fall to major in some form of art, but yeah...I don't really know what I want to do with my life, lol.
